See where you stand on your framework.
One case prompt, about 10 minutes. I read your framework the way I read 300+ candidates as a McKinsey interviewer, then email you where it stands.
Michael Kirchner, former McKinsey Associate Partner. Free, and you can take it once.
What you get back
- ✓A read on 5 dimensions. Structure, specificity to the case, depth, prioritization, and delivery, each with what I heard in your answer.
- ✓My own framework for the same case. With the 2 or 3 differences between my answer and yours that matter most.
- ✓Where you rank. Your position among everyone who has taken it, once enough candidates have.
How it works
- Read the case at your own pace, or have it read aloud. You can also type any clarifying questions you would ask. Nothing is timed yet, but don't start on your framework until you press start.
- Press start and a 2:30 clock runs. Build your framework on paper, as you would in an interview.
- Say your framework out loud for up to 6:00. Your browser transcribes it as you talk.
- Correct any transcription errors, then submit. I score submissions once a day and email your result.
You can take the diagnostic once, so the result is a cold read. Begin when you have 10 uninterrupted minutes and can speak out loud, and don't refresh the page once the case appears.
You've already taken the diagnostic.
It can be taken once, so the result reflects a cold read. If you submitted, your result arrives by email after I score the day's submissions.
Apply for coachingOur client is Streamline Cinemas, a regional movie theater chain operating 42 locations across the Midwest, generating approximately $180 million in annual revenue from ticket sales and concessions. Attendance has declined steadily since streaming services expanded, and company-wide EBITDA margin has fallen from roughly 14% to 8% over the past three years, even though Streamline has held ticket prices largely flat. The CEO wants to understand what's driving the margin decline and needs a recommendation on how to restore profitability before presenting to the board at year-end.
What factors would you want to consider in figuring out what's driving Streamline's margin decline, and how to restore profitability?
Read the case at your own pace. Please don't start on your framework until you press the button, so the 2:30 is a true cold build.
